no 3 and the last of three related and different oils with the title Jazz by Moonlight, all painted at various times in the period October - November 1966.
This work was kept at the artist's Gamels Studio from 1966 to 1992, when it was bought directly from the artist by Professor Michael Tucker.
This painting was a key-note exhibit in the exhibition Eye Music: Klee, Kandinsky and All That Jazz, Pallant House Gallery, Chichester June-September 2007 and is touring to the Sainsbury Centre October-December 2007.
